The United Nations Global Methane Assessment reported that more than half of global methane emissions are human-caused, having oil and gas extraction accounting for 23% of the total. Importantly, the report points out that the oil and gas industry can make significant reductions in emissions with relatively inexpensive technologies, many of which pay for themselves.Read more
