OGMP 2.0 Methane Reporting Support

High-Integrity Data for Confident Compliance

As methane reporting requirements intensify globally, oil and gas operators and other high-emitting sectors are under increasing pressure to move beyond estimated values toward accurate, measurement-based inventories. The Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) framework, developed by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), sets a global benchmark for best-practice methane measurement and reporting.

From mobile stack testing and LDAR programs to satellite monitoring and reconciliation support, our team delivers the data, tools, and technical guidance to help you meet OGMP 2.0 expectations with confidence, whether you’re an operator in the energy sector or managing emissions in another methane-intensive industry.

What is OGMP 2.0?

OGMP 2.0 is a voluntary global reporting framework developed by the United Nations Environment Programme to move companies away from generic emission factors and toward direct measurement and reconciliation of methane emissions. Designed specifically for the oil and gas industry, OGMP 2.0 defines five levels of reporting maturity, with Level 5 representing source-level quantification and full reconciliation across operations.

While built for energy operators, the principles behind OGMP 2.0—accuracy, completeness, and defensible reporting—are increasingly relevant to other sectors facing growing scrutiny around methane and greenhouse gas emissions. This science-based approach is also supported by the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO), which helps ensure consistency and data integrity across global methane inventories.
